The Best Beef Brisket Comfort Food Style

  1. Put brisket in roasting pan that has a cover.
  2. Mix onions through ketchup in a bowl and pour on brisket. Pour water in pan to cover bottom. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Remove brisket and scrape toppings into water and then slice brisket approximately 1/4 inch thick at a 45 degree angle against the grain. Put back into pan. Now add baby carrots and potatoes and cover. Add additional water if needed. Bake until brisket and vegetables are tender. Serve with apple sauce on the side!
