Curry Chicken
- 2 chickens
- 2 medium onions
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- salt
- garlic powder
- mild or spicy curry
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 green pepper
- pepper
- 6 large potatoes
- Clean the chicken.
- Cut the chicken in quarters.
- In a skillet melt the butter and vegetable oil.
- Sprinkle garlic powder into butter and vegetable oil.
- Season the chicken with the curry powder, pepper and salt.
- Place chicken into skillet.
- Brown all chicken pieces on both sides for about 10 minutes.
- When chicken is brown, remove from pan.
- Add onions and green pepper in skillet. Add chicken and cut quartered potatoes.
- Sprinkle with more curry; let simmer covered.
- Add 1 cup of water at 1/2 hour.
- Serve with white rice.
- Serves 5.
