Holiday Poke Cake

  1. Place cake layers, top sides up, in 2 clean 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Pierce cake with large fork at 1/2-inch intervals.
  3. Dissolve each flavor of gelatin completely in 1 cup boiling water in separate bowls.
  4. Carefully pour red gelatin over 1 cake layer and lime gelatin over second cake layer.
  5. Refrigerate 3 hours.
  6. Dip 1 cake pan in warm water 10 seconds, unmold onto serving plate. Spread with about 1 cup Cool Whip.
  7. Unmold second cake layer. Carefully place on first layer.
  8. Frost top and sides of cake with Cool Whip.
  9. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
  10. Decorate to look like holly leaves with green leaf gumdrops and red cinnamon candies.
