Bbq Brisket Sandwiches
- 5 lb. beef brisket
- 2 TB. liquid smoke
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 bottle KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce (original)
- 10 buns or rolls
- 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- 2. Mix salt, paprika, garlic powder, and mustard powder in a small bowl. Set aside.
- 2. Liberally brush both sides of the brisket with the liquid smoke. Rub the dry spice mix into both sides of the brisket.
- 3. Place brisket in a roasting pan, and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- 4. Bake brisket for 3-1/2 hours.
- 5. Remove pan from oven. Carefully remove aluminum foil (watch out for steam!). Using two carving forks, pull (or "shred") the beef apart.
- 6. Pour whole bottle of KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce around the edge of the pan. To not waste any, put a little water in the bottle, swirl it, and add the last bit to the brisket.
- 7. Recover the brisket in aluminum foil, and refrigerate until ready to re-heat.
- 8. When ready to reheat, place in 325 degree oven until reheated, 20-30 minutes.
- 9. Serve warmed brisket on buns.
