Quick And Easy Seasoned Ground Taco Beef
- 1 lb. Ground Beef (80/20)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red pepper
- 1 Roma tomato diced
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1/4 cup finely minced spinach
- Liberal amount of special seasoning (see below)
- Special Seasoning:
- 4 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 6 teaspoons ground cumin
- 4 teaspoons sea salt
- 4 teaspoons black pepper
- 1. In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until just a small amount of "pink" in the meat remains. Drain all fat but retain 2 tablespoons and add back to the meat.
- 2. Add onions, tomato, pepper, and spinach. Mix well and continue cooking over medium heat.
- 3. Once meat is completely brown, add a generous sprinkling of special seasoning.
- 4. Continue cooking until the tomatoes have disappeared (10 - 15 minutes)
- 5. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
