Uncle Jeff'S Bbq Chicken Wings
- 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
- 1/2 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 Bottle of Supermarket BBQ Sauce with 1st ingredient "tomato paste" or "tomato puree", eg Shula's
- 2 tablespoons thai fish sauce (in a bottle in most supermarket's asian food section)
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 24 chicken wings (or more or less, you can freeze the sauce you don't use)
- In a medium size pan, saute onions in oil until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic and continue cooking, being careful not to let garlic burn
- add BBQ sauce, thai fish sauce and mustard, and mix until heated through, then take off the stove.
- grill wings, unseasoned, over medium coals, turning frequently, until nearly done, about 40 minutes
- When wings appear to be 5 minutes from being done, brush them with the BBQ sauce, turn them and brush the other side.
- Continue cooking until wings are browned but not burned, about 5 minutes, and serve!
