Pretzel Dessert
- 2 cups crushed pretzels, sticks are easier
- 3/4 cup melted margarine
- 1 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 large container of cool whip
- 1 large box of red jello
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2- 10 oz boxed frozen strawberries with juice, do not drain
- Combine pretzels, melted margarine and 3 tablespoons sugar in a bowl.
- Spread this into the bottom of a cake pan (9x13), let cool.
- Beat 1 cup sugar with the cream cheese.
- Fold in the cool whip.
- Spread mixture on top of pretzels.
- Combine jello, boiling water, frozen berries together and place in refrigerator.
- Once it starts to set pour this over the cream cheese layer.
- Return to refrigerator until chilled and set.
- Cut into squares and serve.
