Oatmeal Cocoa Chippers
- 1 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 Cup of Cocoa
- 2 Teaspoons of Baking Soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
- 1 Cup of Butter
- 1 Cup of Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup of Granulated White Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- 12 oz. of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 2 Cups of Dry Oatmeal
- 1 Cup of Chopped Walnuts (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a small bowl, combine:
- - 1 1/2 Cups of All-Purpose Flour
- - 1/2 Cup of Cocoa
- - 2 Teaspoons of Baking Soda
- - 1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
- In a large bowl, combine and beat until creamy:
- - 1 Cup of Butter
- - 1 Cup of Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
- - 1/2 Cup of Granulated White Sugar
- - 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
- In the large bowl, add eggs on at a time, beating well after each.
- Gradually beat in flour mixture.
- Stir in:
- - 12 oz. of Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- - 2 Cups of Dry Oatmeal
- - 1 Cup of Chopped Walnuts (optional)
- Drop by slightly rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes for chewy cookies, 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
