Angel Yeast Biscuits

  1. Dissolve
  2. yeast in warm water;tet aside.
  3. Stir flour, sugar and
  4. baking soda together.tut in shortening until the size
  5. of peas.
  6. Mix buttermilk with yeast water; add to flour mixture. Stir
  7. witht
  8. fork until moistened.
  9. May be covered and refrigerated overnight to be shaped and baked later.
  10. Turn out onto
  11. floured
  12. surface.
  13. Knead
  14. until smooth and elastic. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
  15. Cut biscuits out with a 2-inch cutter.
  16. Place close together on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake
  17. in
  18. preheated
  19. 400u0b0
  20. oven
  21. for 15 to 20 minutes. Brush
  22. with melted
  23. butter or margarine.
  24. Makes 24 to 30 biscuits.
