Homemade Granola

  1. Preheat oven to 300u0b0.
  2. In a bowl, stir together the oats, wheat germ and sunflower seeds.
  3. In a small saucepan, heat, stirring until hot, then remove from heat.
  4. Stir in vanilla, peanut butter and oat mixture until combined well.
  5. Spread granola evenly in bottom of a jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch) and bake in middle of oven, stirring occasionally.
  6. Cook 40 minutes or until golden.
  7. Cool granola and stir in raisins and nuts.
  8. Granola can be kept in an airtight container, chilled. Makes about 4 1/2 cups.
