Chef Bills Cornbread Dressing
- 1 pan of cornbread
- 2 slices toasted sandwich bread
- 8 saltine crackers
- 1 medium onion diced
- 3 ribs of celery diced
- 2 boiled eggs diced
- 2 raw eggs
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- Butter
- Chicken stock
- Salt, pepper and sage to taste
- Crumble the cornbread, toast and crackers into a large bowl. Saute the onions and celery in butter till the veggies are just softened. Add them along with the butter to the bowl of bread. Add all other ingredients except for the chicken stock to the bread. Mix well and then add the stock a small amount at a time until the desired consistency is reached. Put into a 8x8 baking dish and bake at 400 degrees for about an hour.
