Bev'S Georgetown Eggnog
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 pt. whiskey
- 1 qt. whipping cream
- nutmeg
- 1 gal. sweet cider (use the unstrained kind for better tast)
- 2 qt. cranberry cocktail juice (unsweetened)
- 1 large pkg. frozen orange juice (straight from the container; do not add water)
- 1 large (2 liter) bottle Vernor's ginger ale
- Mix together in an unlined pumpkin shell and add 1 jar spiced red apple rings (juice and all).
- Tie a piece of dry ice in a small net bag.
- Cut up on old onion bag or the like and drop it in the punch just before serving. (It will chill the punch and give off a beautiful and harmless, spooky mist at the same time.)
- Dry ice can be bought at Joe's Ice on Plymouth Road in Detroit or at most ice cream stores.
