Crock Pot Beef Carnitas Tacos
- Spice Rub:
- 1 Tablespoon chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 lbs flank steak
- 1 yellow onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- Serving Options:
- corn tortillas
- shredded lettuce
- grated cheese
- tomato
- sour cream
- salsa
- Mix all of the spices together in a small bowl.
- Rub spice rub onto each side of the steak.
- Place the steak in the bottom of the crock pot.
- Place the chopped onion, bell pepper on top of the steak.
- Cook on low for 7-8 hours.
- After cooking remove and shred with two forks.
