San'S Five Bean Chili

  1. Saute onion and garlic in olive oil until opaque.
  2. Add meats and brown thoroughly.
  3. Drain fat.
  4. Add tomatoes, beer and beans to meat and bring to a simmer.
  5. Simmer uncovered for 5 to 7 minutes. Add remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Taste after 30 minutes, adjusting seasonings to taste.
  7. Simmer for 15 to 20 more minutes.
  8. Serve piping hot.
  9. Garnish with grated Monterey Jack cheese, chopped onions or jalapenos.
  10. Goes great with corn bread!
  11. Enjoy!
