Beef Broccoli
- Ingredients
- 1 pound of Flank Stake (lean and tender,sliced into bite size pieces)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- Ground black peppers
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 3 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cooking wine (optional)
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 3-4 big cloves garlic ( crushed)
- 3 heads Broccoli ( cut into bite sized pieces with stems)
- 1/4 water
- Preparation
- Cut up pieces of flank steak and put them in a large mixing bowl
- add soy sauce, fresh cracked peppers, fish sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, and cooking wine
- Mix ingredients into the meat. (This dish tastes Even better if can you mix these in 2 to3 hours ahead of time)
- Crush the fresh garlic and chop it into tiny bits. Then add the garlic to the marinated meat.
- Now heat a frying pan or wok over high heat
- Heat about 1/2 cup of cooking oil in the wok or frying pan until the oil gets really hot .
- Toss in the marinated meat and stir quickly
- Then throw in the cut up broccoli
- Keep stirring and turning the meat and broccoli over.
- (If it starts to look a little dry , add little water.)
- Keep stirring until the meat is cook and the Broccoli is tender but crispy,
- urn the heat off.
