Chili California Style
- 2 1/2 lb. ground turkey
- 2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz. cans)
- 1 can tomato soup (Campbell's)
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 pkg. chili mix (Schilling)
- 1 stalk celery
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1/2 red onion
- 3 chili peppers (mild)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh garlic (about 2 cloves)
- 2 cans red kidney beans
- Spray deep skillet with Pam.
- Brown ground turkey and add chili mix (set aside).
- In blender, mix tomato sauce, tomato paste and tomato soup (set aside).
- Cut up all of the vegetables (set aside).
- In a large saucepan (6-quart capacity), add ground turkey.
- Slowly pour in the liquids.
- Stir well.
- Add all of the finely cut vegetables.
- Stir.
- Add the kidney beans, juice and all! Stir once more and add 1 cup of water (purified).
- Add garlic and cook for 2 hours on medium, stirring often.
- Serve with a salad and Italian bread.
- Serves 6 hungry people.
