Apple Upside-Down Cake

  1. Melt the 6 tablespoons butter over low heat in a cake pan. Stir in the 1/2 cup brown sugar until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and sprinkle the nuts evenly into the pan.
  3. Place apples in the pan in a circular pattern, covering bottom of the pan completely. Set aside.
