Bar-B-Que Hamburger Surprise
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 lb cheddar cheese cubed
- 1 cup ketcup
- 1 tablespoon A-1 sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- Combine ketchup, A-1 sauce, Worchestershire sauce, and brown sugar in a small bowl until well blended and set aside.
- Combine ground beef, chopped onion, egg, bread crumbs and seasoned salt. Mix well. Form 4 equal patties. Take one cube of cheddar cheese and put in middle of hamburger patty. Form patty around cheese and seal.
- Put hamburger patties on hot grill. Grill to your desire doneness. 7 minutes before the hamburgers are done, take the bar-b-que sauce and brush liberally on each hamburger patty. Wait about 3 1/2 minutes and flip hamburgers and brush the other side with the bar-b-que sauce. You can use the remaining sauce to serve as a condiment.
