Oysters Au Gratin
- 2 pt. shucked oysters
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. dry white wine
- 2 Tbsp. parsley
- 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3/4 c. bread crumbs
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 Tbsp. butter, melted
- Pat oysters dry.
- In a large skillet, cook and stir oysters, butter and garlic 3 to 4 minutes until oysters edges curl; drain. Stir in flour. Add milk; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Stir in wine, parsley and Worcestershire sauce. Spoon over oysters.
- Mix crumbs, Parmesan cheese and melted butter.
- Sprinkle over sauce.
- Bake in a 400u0b0 oven for 10 minutes until crumbs brown.
- Serves 4.
