Chocolate Chip Pie
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 1/2 C. packed golden brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 C. all purpose flour
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1 C. (1/2 stick)unsalted butter, melted, cooled
- 1 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips( 6 oz)
- 1 C. chopped walnuts
- 1 9-inch-diameter frozen deep-dish pie crust, thawed
- Whipped cream
- Preheat oven to 325 F. Whisk eggs, both sugars, and vanilla in large bowl until well blended. Add flour and salt, whisk to blend. Whisk in butter in 3 additions. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Transfer filling to pie crust. Bake pie until filling is puffed and golden brown, about 50 minutes. Cool on rack 20 minutes. Cut into wedges. serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream.
