Caramelized Onion Tart

  1. Preheat oven to 400oF. In large skillet over medium heat add butter and melt. When butter has melted add onions and let cook for 30 minutes, stirring once or twice. When onions have browned add the cream. Stir and allow to thicken. Once thickened, add balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the fresh thyme. Spread mixture onto crust in baking pan. Cook for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool about 10 minutes before serving.
