Grit Coockies

  1. put your water on to a large sauce pan to boil, while that is happening take a smaller saucepan and put you brown sugar into it the add a little bi to water at a time until it is all kind of wet then put it onn the stove and turn it to high when you see the edges start to foam turn the stove to medium and put in your butter. By this time your water is boiling now slowely pour the grits in wile stiring the entire time if you dont you will get clumps which arent so good. When the grits are done turn off the stove and let them cool. now your butter should be melted so just spray in your velilla and stir it aroud now you ca turn that burner off.Everything els is doen so spread your grits eveanley onto a large rimmed coockie sheat and drezzel the syrup ontothe and put them into the freazer to harden wait about an hour then take them out if there hard cut them into squares and enjoy.
