Scrabble Mix(You'Ll Never Want To Eat Store Bought Chex Mix Again!!)
- 4 c. Cheerios
- 3 c. Wheat Chex
- 3 c. Rice Chex
- 3 c. Corn Chex
- 3 c. slim pretzel sticks
- 1 lb. deluxe mixed nuts
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/4 c. bacon drippings (crumble bacon and reserve in fridge for other recipes or salad topping)
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. celery salt
- 1 tsp. savory
- Combine dry cereals, pretzels and nuts in large roasting pan. In small saucepan, slowly heat butter and bacon drippings until melted.
- Add Worcestershire and Tabasco sauces and blend.
- Pour over cereal mixture.
- With a rubber spatula, gently stir ingredients to distribute the butter mixture.
- In small dish, combine the seasonings and sprinkle over cereal mixture.
- Again, stir gently to distribute all ingredients.
- Toast in slow over 250 degrees for 1 hour.
- During the hour, remove from oven every 15 minutes and stir.
- Cool.
- Store in tin canisters.
