Crisco Butter Kisses
- 1 cup Butter Flavor Crisco all-vegetable shortening or 1 Butter Flavor Crisco stick
- 1 cup Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 3 -1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Granulated sugar for rolling
- 72 to 90 milk chocolate kisses or stars, unwrapped
- Heat oven to 375u0b0F.
- Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, Jif Creamy Peanut Butter, brown sugar, and 1 cup granulated sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat in eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended. Dough will be stiff.
- Form dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake at 375u0b0F for 8 minutes. Press milk chocolate kiss into center of each cookie. Return to oven. Bake 3 minutes. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
