Macaroni Fruit Salad
- 2 c. macaroni
- 3 qt. boiling water
- 1 can pineapple tidbits
- 1 can mandarin oranges, drained
- 1 c. black grapes
- 1 c. finely chopped celery
- 1 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1 apple, diced and dipped in 1 oz. lemon juice
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Slowly add macaroni and salt to boiling water.
- Cook, stirring occasionally until tender.
- Drain; rinse with cold water and drain again.
- Drain liquid from the pineapple, reserving 1/4 cup of the liquid.
- In a large bowl, combine macaroni, pineapple, oranges, grapes, celery, marshmallows and apples in small bowl.
- Blend sour cream, mayonnaise, reserved pineapple juice and lemon until smooth.
- Toss macaroni mixture with sour cream mixture.
- Chill well.
- Serve in lettuce lined bowl.
- Sprinkle with nuts.
