Mixed Fruit Granola
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 3/4 c. wheat germ
- 1/2 c. almonds, sliced
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1 T. vegetable oil
- 1 T. water
- 1 t. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 t. salt
- 2/3 c. dates, pitted and chopped
- 1/2 c. golden raisins
- 1/2 c. dried apricots, chopped
- 1/3 c. dried cranberries
- 1/4 c. sunflower seeds, hulled
- Heat over to 350 degrees. In a large bowl combine oats, wheat germ, almonds, honey, oil, water, cinnamon and salt. Spread mixture onto baking sheet and bake 15 minutes, stirring several times, until mixture is dark golden brown.
- Immediately pack mixture into a 9" square baking pan and cool to room temperature. Break oat mixture into pea-sized chunks over a large bowl. Stir in the rest of the ingredients.
- Stir in a jar, airtight container or plastic bags.
