Homemade Ranch Dressing

  1. 1. Measure 1/2 tsp parsley flakes, dill weed and chives into a small bowl. You can remove spices if you don't like the taste of any of them, such as dill which has a very overpowering taste. Consider adding some paprika or hot pepper sauce for a more exotic tasting dressing.
  2. 2. Add 1/4 tsp each onion powder and garlic powder. Fresh minced garlic and onions are also an option as an alternative to their dried counterparts. If you want to store the mix for use or give it to friends and family, stick with the dried ingredients.
  3. 3. Add 1/8 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper. Add more or less to taste. Cracked pepper and sea salt add alternative tastes for extra variety. Sea salt does not contain iodine.
  4. 4. Add 1 cup of mayonnaise and either 1/2 cup of sour cream or 1/2 cup buttermilk to the seasoning mix when you are ready to make ranch salad dressing.
  5. Voile!
  6. NOTE: I think it needs more salt.
