Chili

  1. Cook and stir green pepper, onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat until onions are tender.
  2. Cut beef into 1/2-inch pieces and coat with flour.
  3. Brown in 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
  4. Stir in tomatoes, beans with liquid, tomato sauce, chili powder, green pepper and salt.
  5. Cover and simmer; stir some until beef is tender, about 2 hours.
  6. Uncover and simmer, stirring some for 30 minutes.
