Beef-N-Biscuit Casserole
- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- black pepper to taste
- 1 (8 oz.) can refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
- 1 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- Brown ground beef and
- onion in large frying pan; drain excess grease.
- Add
- tomato
- sauce,
- pepper
- and
- garlic salt. Simmer while preparing
- biscuits.teparate biscuit dough into 10 biscuits.
- Pull each biscuit apart to make 2 layers.
- Press biscuit layers over
- entire
- bottom
- and
- sides
- of
- ungreased 9-inch square baking
- pan
- or
- 2-quart casserole.
- Combine 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese (reserve
- the rest for topping), sour cream and egg; mix well.
- Remove
- meat mixture from heat and stir in cheese mixture.
- Spoon over dough.
- Arrange remaining biscuit layers over
- top
- pinching
- sidestogether.
- Sprinkle
- with remaining Cheddar
- cheese.
- Bake
- at 375u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
