Vietnamese Pork Banh Mi Sandwiches
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 2 tablespoons Fish Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 teaspoons Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper, Ground
- 2 tablespoons Shallots, Finely Chopped
- 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 1 pound Pork Loin, Thinly Sliced
- 1 loaf Baguette, Cut into 4 inch sandwich-sized slices
- Combine garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, black pepper, shallots, vegetable, and sesame oil in mixing bowl.
- Transfer to plastic bag and add pork. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan on high.
- Cook pork, turning occasionally until it reaches 165 degrees F.
- Assemble prk sandwich with pickled daikon and carrots. Cilantro, scallions, hot chili sauce, and mayonnaise are optional.
