Butler'S London Broil

  1. Smother entire london broil in yellow mustard.
  2. Cover entire london broil in rock salt.
  3. (note: do not apply the rock salt until ready to cook)
  4. Prepare Fire:
  5. Create two medium sized piles of charcoal on opposite sides of the grill.
  6. Start one pile (hot pile) 3-5 minutes before the other pile.
  7. Once the first pile is ready, place the london broil directly onto the hot pile of coals.
  8. Cook for 12 minutes.
  9. Flip uncooked side onto 2nd pile for 12 minutes (some of the rock salt will be left on the pile).
  10. Remove from grill, cover with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes.
  11. Scrape off any remaining salt or ash.
  12. Cut thin strips across the grain at a 45 angle.
