Butler'S London Broil
- One London broil (5 lb or less or 2-3 inches thick)
- One container cheap yellow mustard
- Rock Salt (or ice cream salt just make sure it is the large crystals)
- Smother entire london broil in yellow mustard.
- Cover entire london broil in rock salt.
- (note: do not apply the rock salt until ready to cook)
- Prepare Fire:
- Create two medium sized piles of charcoal on opposite sides of the grill.
- Start one pile (hot pile) 3-5 minutes before the other pile.
- Once the first pile is ready, place the london broil directly onto the hot pile of coals.
- Cook for 12 minutes.
- Flip uncooked side onto 2nd pile for 12 minutes (some of the rock salt will be left on the pile).
- Remove from grill, cover with foil, and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Scrape off any remaining salt or ash.
- Cut thin strips across the grain at a 45 angle.
