My Favorite Greens.
- 3 c. chopped fresh greens.
- 1/3 c. finely chopped shallots
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped garlic
- 2-3 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
- 1. Steam the chopped greens of your choice for about 4-5 minutes until tender, but not fully cooked.
- 2.Add oil to a medium sautee pan and bring it to temp under medium-high heat.
- 3. Add the shallots and sesame seeds first, sauteing them lightly for 3-4 minutes, then add the garlic, sauteing for another 2-3 minutes.
- 4. Toss in the steamed greens and red pepper flakes, stirring lightly to mix oil evenly throughout.
- 5. Increase the heat slightly and add the rice wine vinegar. Cover the pan and simmer briefly. (2 minutes should suffice)
- 6. Serve immediately!
