Cassoulet, French Casserole
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans
- 3 (1 lb.) cans baked beans
- 2 (1 lb. 4 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained
- 1 lb. Italian link sausage or pork link sausage
- 1/2 lb. smoked ham, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. mustard
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- Split sausage in half lengthwise and pan-fry until brown.
- Cut into 2 or 3 pieces each.
- Defrost lima beans until separated and mix with other beans.
- Mix sausage, ham and beans.
- Combine seasoning, tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar and onion.
- Add to meat and bean mixture.
- Pour all into crock-pot.
- Cook on high for 1 hour, then turn on low for 4 to 5 hours.
