Basic Sweet Dough

  1. Mix
  2. water,
  3. 1teaspoon
  4. sugar,
  5. yeast.
  6. Stirtnd set aside. Scald
  7. milk,
  8. pour into large mixing bowl;
  9. add sugar, salt and 3 cups
  10. flour.
  11. Mix with spoon and be sure it is not hotter than 110u0b0
  12. to
  13. 115u0b0.
  14. Add eggs and yeast mixture.
  15. Mix well with spoon.
  16. Add margarine, then beat with mixer about 5 minutes.
  17. Add 3 more cups flour and mix well with spoon.turn onto floured board
  18. or
  19. pastry cloth.
  20. Let rest a short time. Knead about
  21. 5 minutes, adding flour only if needed.
  22. Let rise in warm
  23. place until
  24. double
  25. in bulk, 1 1/2 or 1 hour.
  26. Make into desired shapes.
  27. Let
  28. rise 1 hour.take in 350u0b0 to 400u0b0 oven not more than 18 to 20 minutes.
