Teriyaki Style Kebobs
- sirloin steak
- pearl onions
- cherry tomatoes
- red pepper in chunks
- fresh pineapple, cleaned and cut into 2x2" chunks
- Teriyaki sauce: 1/4 c. hoisin sauce, 1/4 c. soy sauce, 1 T. sesame oil, 4 green onions and 4 cloves garlic ground in processor, 1 " grated ginger, juice of 1 large orange, zest from 2 oranges, 1 t. thai garlic chili paste, 1/4 c. packed brown sugar.
- Cut sirloin into 2x2" pieces. Mix together teriyaki ingredients. Cook pearl onions about 10 min. in boiling water. Skin. Mix several tablespoons teriyaki sauce into onions. Put sirloin pieces in rest of sauce to marinate several hours. Prepare BBQ. Prepare skewers alternating meat, pineapple, tomatoes and red pepper. Heat until smoking a BBQ pan, drop in onions and char. Cook skewers about 5 minutes per side. Great to serve over rice or pasta.
