Peppermint Pinwheels

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except food coloring.
  2. Divide the dough evenly into halves; add food coloring to one half of dough, refrigerate for one hour.
  3. Take the plain dough and roll on a lightly floured surface into a 16 by 9 inch rectangle.to the same with the color dough; then lay it over the plain dough.
  4. Roll them and wrap tightly in wax paper. Refrigerate at least 4 hours.
  5. When finished heat oven to 400u0b0; slice about 1/4 inch thick and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
