Hamburger Steak With Balsamic Onion Sauce

  1. Beef patties
  2. In a big bowl place crushed crackers with egg and milk, mix and let soak until completly absorbed. Add rest of ingredients, except oil, and mix well using hands.
  3. Make 8 patties with hamburger mix. Spinkle with salt and pepper to taste
  4. In a large frying pan heat up the oil to medium-hot, place patties and cook 3-4 minutes per side until golden. Remove and reserve in a plate.
  5. Balsamic & onion sauce
  6. In a bowl mix corn starch and chicken stock. Reserve.
  7. In the same frying pan cook the onions in the butter keeping pan on medium heat. Once the onions start to turn golden add honey and cook about 1 minute. Add the balsamic vinegar and simmer until the sauce turns to sirop consistency. Add the reserved stock and the mustard and bring to boil while mixing. Add reserved patties, turn down heat and let simmer until meat is well cooked, about 20 minutes. Coat meat with sauce regularly and turn patties after 10 minutes, Sprinkle with parsley. Add salt & pepper to taste.
  8. Serve with garlic mashed potatoes (or fries) and small peas...all covered with remaining sauce.
