Disappearing Marshmallow Brownies
- 1/2 c. butterscotch pieces
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 c. miniature marshmallows
- 1 c. chocolate bits
- 1/4 c. chopped nuts
- Grease bottom
- and sides of a 9-inch square baking pan. Melt butterscotch
- pieces
- and
- margarine
- in
- heavy
- 3-quart saucepan over
- medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat; cool to
- lukewarm.
- Add
- next
- 6 ingredients to butterscotch
- mixture in
- saucepan;
- mix
- well.
- Fold marshmallows, chocolate pieces and nuts into butterscotch batter just until combined, about
- 5 strokes.
- Spread in prepared pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 20
- to
- 25 minutes.
- Do not overbake.
- Center will be jiggly but becomes firm upon cooling.
