Decadent Mint Brownies
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. flour
- 1- 16 oz. can Hershey's syrup
- 4 c. powdered sugar
- 4 Tbsp. Milk
- 2 tsp. peppermint extract
- 2 sticks (1 cup) butter
- green food coloring (about 8 drops)
- 2 c. chocolate chips (good ones)
- 12 Tbsp. butter
- Mix and spread on cooled brownies. Chill.
- Cream 1 cup sugar and 1 stick of butter. Add the eggs and mix well. Mix in Hershey's syrup, then add the flour til incorporated. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Do not overbake. Cool completely.
- For the filling, mix powdered sugar, milk, peppermint extract, 2 sticks of butter and food coloring til smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
- For the topping, melt chocolate chips with 12 Tbsp. of butter in microwavable bowl for 1 minute. Stir til smooth. Pour and smoothe mix over mint filling. Cool til topping is at a fudge-like consistency. Cut and serve. These brownies freeze well.
