Legendary Lentil Soup

  1. Saute
  2. meat
  3. in butter. Add stock, lentils, chilies and marjoram
  4. and
  5. simmer
  6. about
  7. 30 minutes.
  8. Saute vegetables in oil,
  9. adding
  10. garlic
  11. at
  12. the
  13. end.
  14. Add
  15. to pot with meat and stock.
  16. Melt
  17. 3
  18. tablespoons
  19. butter;
  20. add 3 tablespoons flour and stir
  21. until
  22. light brown.thisk in 2 cups stock.tdd to large pot.
  23. Add 4 tablespoons red wine vinegar, freshly ground pepper and salt to taste.timmer 30 minutes.
  24. Adjust seasoning.
  25. Serve with croutons and yogurt or sour cream.
