Convertible Turkey Sloppy Joes

  1. Heat oil 1 minute.
  2. Chop onion, peppers, and garlic in food processor. Add to oil and cook 12 minutes. Add turkey and cook 5 minutes. Drain pan. Stir in black pepper.
  3. Add tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire, and tabasco. Bring to a boil, and then simmer 30 minutes.
  4. BISCUITS
  5. While sloppy joes are simmering, preheat oven to 450 degrees and lay parchment on a baking sheet.
  6. Stir flour, cornmeal, baking powder and soda in a bowl. Blend butter in the food processor with the pastry blade. Gradually add in flour mixture.
  7. Remove to a mixing bowl and stir in cheese, scallions, and yogurt.
  8. Divide dough into 8 mounds and bake for 15 minutes. Serve with sloppy joes.
  9. CHILI:
  10. Stir beans, corn, tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, and jalapeno into remaining sloppy joe mixture. Top with crumbled biscuits and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
