Citrus Berries
- 1-2 lbs of berries. (The amount depends on the type of berries you are going to use, and how many people you would like to feed. Strawberries, raspberries and blueberries are fantastic by themselves as well as mixed together.)
- 2 T granulated sugar
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon or lime
- 1. Wash your berries and hull if necessary. Place in a large bowl.
- 2. Sprinkle the 2 Tablespoons of sugar over the berries.
- 3. Using a paring knife or vegetable peeler, remove about half the rind from orange. Try to avoid getting too much of the white pith. Repeat with the lemon (or lime). Add these peels to the berries.
- 4. Slice the orange in half and squeeze the juice from one half over the berries. Repeat with the lemon (or lime). (You may squeeze the entire orange/lemon/lime if you would like more juice.)
- 5. Stir gently to coat all berries in the sugar and juice. Let sit 20-30 minutes.
