Whole Wheat Bread
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup milk
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 4 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 3 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 3/4 cups shite flour (about)
- 1 cup All Bran cereal
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup dark molasses
- Combine 1 cup water and milk, bring to boil. Stir in All Bran, sugar, salt, butter, molasses. Cool to lukewarm. Dissolve yeast in remaining water and add to lukewarm mixture. Add whole wheat flour and beat until smooth. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead (dough will be sticky). Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise until double in bulk. Punch down. Turn out onto board. Divide in half. Let rise 5 minutes. Shape into loaves. Place in two pans. cover and let rise one hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
