Dinner Rolls(One Of My Favorite Recipes)
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. salad oil (buttery flavored good)
- 2 c. warm water
- 6 1/2 c. flour
- In large mixing bowl, place first 4 ingredients.
- Stir.
- Add warm water.
- Stir.
- Add 3 1/2 cups flour or more to make stiff dough.
- Stir.
- On floured board, knead in approximately 3 more cups of flour.
- Knead until dough is elastic and lumps have smoothed out.
- Place back in mixing bowl, cover and let rise in warm place for 1 1/2 hours or in refrigerator overnight.
- When ready to use, punch down.
- Make out in rolls about the size of golf balls and let rise 1 1/2 hours in warm place.
- Grease baking pans while making out rolls.
- This makes 48 dinner rolls and dough will keep in refrigerator 1 week.
- Bake at 425u0b0 for 20 minutes.
