Franklin Family Secret
- 5 pounds Beef Roast
- Rub Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Ground Coffee Beans (not instant)
- 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Cracked Black Pepper
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large Onion chopped
- 1 tablespoon of crushed Garlic
- 1 tablespoon Corn Starch
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon cracked Black pepper
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 can or bottle of Dark Beer
- Mix all ingredients for dry rub together, then applied to all sides of the Roast.
- Grill over med High Heat approx 10 minutes each side (should be med rare when done).
- let sit for 5 minutes, then slice on a diagonal.
- Mix all ingredients for sauce, bring to a boil (stirring constantly), turn down heat, simmer for 5 minutes (stirring occasionally).
- Serve Beef slices with sauce on the side for dipping.
