Moo Shu Pork Burgers
- 1 lb. ground pork
- 1 can water chestnuts, chopped
- 1 2" piece of ginger, grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bunch green onions, sliced
- 2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp crushed red chili flakes
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Tbs. cornstarch
- 2 Tbs. Rice wine vinegar
- 4 Tbs. Hoisin Sauce
- 4 Tbs. Soy Sauce
- 1 Tbs. Sesame Oil
- 1 Tbs garlic powder
- 2 Cups chopped bok choy
- 2 Cups bean sprouts
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tsp salt
- Extra Hoisin Sauce
- Sesame Buns
- Combine pork, water chestnuts, ginger, garlic, green onion, pepper, salt, chili flakes, egg and cornstarch and mix well with hands. Form into 4 burgers and set aside.
- Combine vinegar, hoisin, soy sauce and sesame oil and garlic powder and whisk together.
- Grill burgers over indirect heat, mopping frequently with sauce until cooked through (155 degrees). Meanwhile, toss bok choy, mushrooms and bean sprouts with 2 tsp salt and wrap tightly in a piece of aluminum foil and place on grill for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat. Toast buns lightly on grill. Serve burgers topped with vegetables on sesame buns with extra hoisin sauce on the side.
