Sparkling Pomegrante Sangria
- You can use regular instad of sparkling Shiraz. For a non-alcoholic version of this, use soda water instead of sparkling wine and frozen orange juice concentrate instead of orange liqueur.
- 1/2 cup orange liqueur
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 cups pomegranate juice
- 1 orange, cut in wedges and sliced
- 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds, optional
- 3 cups (750ml) sparkling Shiraz or sparkling dry white wine
- 2 cups ice cubes
- 1. In a large pitcher, combine orange liqueur and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- 2. Add pomegranate juice, orange slices and pomegranate seeds, if using. Stir well. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- 3. Stir in sparkling wine just before serving. Add ice cubes to glasses and pour sangria over top.
