Appezöller Biberli

  1. Make dough
  2. In a bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and spices.
  3. In a large saucepan heat honey, molasses, and sugar over moderately low heat, stirring just until sugar is dissolved. Remove pan from heat and stir in water and zest. Stir in flour mixture and cool dough.
  4. Make filling
  5. In a food processor pulse almond paste with zest and kirsch until mixture forms a ball adding water, 1/2 teaspoon at a time if mixture resists forming a ball.
