Indian Grilled Chicken
- 16oz plain yogurt
- 1/4c lime juice
- 2 cloves of garlic chopped or pressed
- 2tsp salt
- 1/4tsp tumeric
- 1/2tsp coriander
- 1tsp ground cumin
- 1/2tsp dry mustard
- 1/2tsp curry powder
- 1 1/2tsp ground ginger
- 1/8tsp cayenne pepper
- 3 whole split chicken breasts or 3 chicken hindquaters (skinned)
- 1 large onion
- 1 large green pepper
- In a large bowl combine:
- yogurt, lime juice, garlic, salt, tumeric, coriander, cumin, ginger, mustard, curry powder, cayenne
- Stir to mix, add chicken pieces and toss to coat. Cover mixture with peppers and onions. Chill at least 8hrs.
- Prepare a medium hot to hot charcoal grill. Grill and turn chicken pieces until done (15-20min for breasts, 20-25min for hindquarters. Baste with marinade throughout cooking. (Can use an oven broiler instead of grill)
