Banana Split Sundae
- 1 store bought or homemade loaf angel food cake or 1/2 large angle food ring, cut into 6 equal portions
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
- 2 cupss fresh bananas, sliced thick
- In a small bowl toss fruit with pineapple juice to coat.
- Yogurt Topping
- 1/4 cup non-dairy sugar free whipped topping
- 1 cup fat free frozen vanilla yogurt, softened
- In a small mixing bowl, stir together whipped topping with yogurt until well incorporated.
- Garnish
- 1/4 cup low fat Chocolate syrup
- 6 Maraschino cherries, with stems
- Construction of Sundae
- Place a slice of angle food cake onto each serving dish, top with equal amounts of fruit, then a dollop of yogurt topping and drizzle with chocolate syrup. Don't forget to top it off with a cherry! Enjoy a wonderful light dessert treat!
